“We are a PC Developer†says Treyarch
Countless PC gamers were pissed off when Infinity Ward decided to scrap Dedicated Servers for MW2 on the PC. Treyarch didn’t make the same mistake by promising that the PC version of Black Ops will have all the features you would expect from a PC game. The developer didn’t stop there as they say that they are in fact a “PC Developer”.
In an interview with PC gamer, Cesar Stastny, head of the PC development team said that the idea of taking a crap over PC gamers never crossed their minds (Obviously, he didn’t use the same words)
“We had dedicated servers in our last title, we had planned on dedicated servers for our subsequent title all along, so we haven’t actually wavered on that at all. We are a PC developer. I’ve been running a dedicated PC team since the beginning of this project. We had one last project. We are making a true PC title here and I think it’s a really important platform for our studio, and I’m also really thrilled that we can support the PC community as much as we can.”
It’s hard to come by a PC game these days with exclusive features and it’s nice to see some developers stepping up for the cause. Black Ops will be releasing next month and you know you are gonna pick it up, even if you are gonna thrash the game later.
