“We won’t be making any more Resistances” says Insomniac

While Sony might have wrapped off the trilogy with last year’s Resistance 3, fans were content, knowing that the series would be reborn one day or the other. While that day might still arrive in the not so certain, Insomniac games is certainly not going to be behind the wheel.

In an interview with VG247, Ted Price, CEO had this to say: “We won’t be making any more Resistances”. Short, yet painful. The developer had announced that they had moved on to a multiplatform project which EA had gained publishing rights to. The title was later revealed to be Overstrike at last year’s E3.

Although Resistance 3 took everything we loved about the previous installments and refined it flawlessly, it was met with poor sales figures. We won’t be surprised if Sony would be insistent on reviving the franchise. Even if htey did, it just wouldn’t be a Resistance game without the crazy minds from Insomniac behind it.
