12 Games Which Should Release As PSP2 Launch Titles

Page 2

The time has come, the PSP 2 a.k.a NGP is official but news of it being in existence has been flowing around the internet for quiet sometime.

There has been rumour about its specs, rumours about how it looks and heck even rumours about it being as powerful as a PS3.

Now, we know Sony isn’t the best when it comes to announcing their consoles but this time, we hope they’ll nail it by offering an stellar launch line-up of games for the device. Gamersmint makes a wishlist of 12 such games which will make a amazing launch line-up for the PSP2.

We hope Sony releases atleast a few of these as part of its launch line-up, if not all of them.

Let’s have a look, shall we?

Resistance PSP2 game

Resistance Retribution was among one of the best PSP games. They really figured out the control system inspite of having a single analogue stick. Imagine a Resistance game with PSP2; how amazing would it be? Considering the PSP2 specs are rumored to be amazing and the device is said to be as powerful as a PS3, a new Resistance game can bring a true console-like experience to the PSP2. Combined with 512 MB of Ram and 3G support, it can be a definitive online experience on a handheld.

Killzone PSP2  game

A killzone game on a handheld that almost matches the PS3 in specs, can result in tremendous portable eye candy. The 512 MB of RAM makes sure that it won’t struggle on the PSP2. Maybe a game that is a prequel to Killzone 3 and gives more info about the Helghast generals will make sense. Bring in the Killzone gameplay and the two analogue sticks on the PSP2 will provide an amazing experience, that changes the handheld market as we know it.

Gran Turismo PSP2

GT PSP was a great game but it didn’t have a career mode, which made the game more like a pick up and play type of game. PSP2 promises to be providing a lot of power, so a GT game will truly do it justice. With lots of ram, storage and other specs, it might just rival GT5. A good GT game with career mode should be a great launch title for the PSP2. The ability of the PSP2 to push lots of polygons will be vital for a GT game, as we can see higher detailed models zooming into the screen and it will be a sight to behold.

Burnout PSP2 game

A new burnout game on PSP2 will be amazing. Imaging the high resolution crashes, the speed, the thrill of experiencing all of it. It would be an amazing experience on a handheld. Since it has a lot of ram, the ability to have huge areas to drive around  should be lots of fun. Burnout Paradise on PSP2 should look as good as the real thing on the consoles. A great screen and two analogue sticks will make driving games that much more fun and add in a great online experience, it should be one of the best titles on the PSP2.

Jak and Daxter PSP2 title

It totally baffles us as to why two of Sony’s most popular mascots of the PS2 era hasn’t made its mark this gen. While Heroes on the Move does make us wet our pants, but we want to see the duo receive special treatment. And with Uncharted the only thing in Naughty Dog’s minds, it looks like Jak and Daxter will never make their way on to the PS3.  So why not the PSP2? Daxter, which was released way back in 2006 is still one of the most refined platformers available on the PSP. Considering that the genre is being resurrected as of late, there is no better time for the pair to make their triumphant return.
