Be the Origami Killer in Heavy Rain DLC
A french website recently interviewed David Cage and it bore fruit to quite a few revelations. Cage spoke specifically about the Choronicles DLC for Heavy Rain laying out what’s in store for us. One of the chornicles will follow Norman Jayden and will enable the player to discover the reasons behind his addiction to the prescription drug Triptocaine and other facts like how he got his scar. Another of the DLCs will follow Madison Page and her investigation of a taxidermist revealing how she became an insomaniac.
But what came as the most exciting bit of news is the fact that one of the other DLCs in the Choronicles will enable you to play as the Origami Killer himself and will let you find out about what circumstances led him to become the monstrous serial killer that he is.
No new info was revealed regarding the other two leads(Ethan Mars and Scott Shelby) and the DLCs featuring their back-story. However Cage did say that each of these DLCs will have about an hour of playtime and will be based upon the events prior to the start of the game in each of the lead character’s lives. There was no confirmation on the price of the DLCs aswell but Cage hinted that all of them will be released soon after the Game releases worldwide(26th Feb).
Update -
Mike Kebby (Member of the PS Store Team) just commented in one of his blog posts which revealed that the Heavy Rain Demo is going to release on 11th Feb and will be made available for download from the PS Store.
This news comes as a very welcome one, enabling fans to get a taste of what’s in store for them come Feb 24th(when it releases worldwide). Also, it will be interesting to see how many downloads the demo clocks before the game releases. We will update you on the figures when they get revealed

Greetings, I read all your posts, keep them coming.
I feel for you name. It is true that a demo should be released atleast one month prior to the game’s official launch date. It will then enable to players to get a basic idea about what’s in store for them. Releasing a demo just a week before the game’s release is indeed a sad state of events but then again that’s how the industry is and will continue to function.
whats the point of releasing the demo 4 days after its out?
im importing it from JP and its due for release there on feb 8th it normally takes 2-4 days for me to get games i import from there so ill have the full game 1 day later, if not before the demo releases.
real point full!
i seriously can not understand why developers do this.
demos should be out MINIMUM! of 1 month before release that way it gives the consumer time to download it, play it and judge if they want to get it or not, also gives them enough time to go and preorder it.
for some reason most of my retailers always sell out for preorders before i get the chance to preorder any games, so its important i get to play a demo minimum 1 month prior to release so i can get to the stores and put my order in.
sony, just because you delayed the game 10 times does not mean you have to delay the demo 10 times.
david cage at gamescom last year said it would be out by years end.
just 2 months late
I agree with not paying £40 for half a game, which may not be that great anyway. I smell a rental for this one, and screw the HBO style DLC nonsense. If it’s anything like Lost the tv show, count me out.
This game I so cannot wait to play and now we also get all this DLC!!!!
WOHOO!
Paying £40 for half a game and then having to pay god knows how much extra for the rest of the game? What a rip – off. No thanks……i’ll just wait a year for the GOTY edition to come out.
@Jack- Yea, HR DLCs will def add more gameplay hours. Also, it will be interesting getting to know what exactly led him to become such a ruthless kiler. The other DLCs also seems interesting. All in all, good work Quantic Dreams
Looks really interesting, these DLCs promise to offer lots of gameplay hours which seems amazing. I just hope QD don’t charge a bomb for them but heck I am willing to pay for playing as the Origami Killer!
OMG, I seldom look forward to DLCs but I just can’t wait for this one to arrive. Playing as the Origami Killer himself. Quantic Dreams is AAWESOME!
