All Sony-Published PS3 Titles to Require Online Pass

Sony has confirmed all of the PlayStation 3 games they publish will require an online pass, starting with the confirmation of the feature for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

The company told Destructoid in a statement:

Online Pass will be incorporated into Uncharted 3 and future Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) games with online functionality. We will provide further information in the future.

Several major publishers have already integrated an online pass to tackle the used games industry, to which they’ll be able to make more potential revenue as those who purchase the title used will need to buy an online pass for a set price on the PlayStation Network.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is currently scheduled for a release in Europe on November 2nd, 2011, and the 1st for America.
