And Gabe Newell’s favourite game is……..

Ever wondered what gaming God Gabe Newell’s favourite game was? Well today we finally get an answer. When asked what his favourite game of all time was during a video conference call with  US students, Gabe had this to say:

“It’s still Mario 64, actually. I still think that was just astonishing.”

“How many of you have played Mario 64? How many of you were really disappointed in Mario Galaxy?” he continued.W

That’s not all. Gabe is confident that Portal 2 is Valve’s finest work yet.

“Portal 2. I think Portal 2 is our most confident design that we’ve done so far. I think it’s a great game and I’m really proud of the work that everybody did on it.”

And we don’t need to back it up. Portal was revolutionary and we can only imagine what Valve has planned for us in the sequel. Portal 2 releases on April 18th in the US and on 22nd in Europe.
