Batman: Arkham City to provide 40 hours of playtime

In an  exclusive interview with The Guardian newspaper, Sefton Hill, game director at Rocksteady Studios, has revealed that Batman: Arkham City will provide gamers with an ample twenty-five hours of campaign mode – and that is just from the narrative related to the main story. If you wish to discover all that Arkham City has to offer, you will get to experience  a further fifteen hours of story that isn’t pertinent to the main plot.

You don’t need a degree in maths to figure out that the above equals forty hours of glorious bat-filled gameplay, and that’s not even including the amount of time you will spend bettering your high scores in the challenge modes, which I assume will be returning. Every new detail about this game seems to please fans, and while it may just be the PR machine doing an excellent job, Arkham City seems set to live up to the hype laid out by its predecessor.

Arkham City is set for release for PS3, 360 and PC on the 18th of October (North America) and the 21st of October (Europe).  Expect a slew of new details to be announced at E3 next month.
