Battlefield 1943 and BC: 2 Onslaught mode cancelled for PC

DICE has just announced that the PC version of Battlefield 1943 and the Onslaught mode for Bad Company 2 will never see the light of day.

The team will instead focus on Battlefield 3 and will strive to make it “the best Battlefield game ever”. Battlefield 3 will be built on the Frostbite 2 engine and will be the biggest launch in DICE’s history.

While those of you who were eagerly waiting in anticipation for the PC releases are sure to be disappointed, you’ve got something much more promising to look forward to. DICE has promised that the PC version will receive special treatment and from their track record, you know they wont let us down. Battlefield 3 will be officially unveiled at GDC 2011.
