Battlefield 3′s Xbox 360 version to feature hi-res texture pack

DICE has confirmed Battlefield 3′s Xbox 360 version will feature the ability to install a hi-res texture pack.

The shooter’s producer Patrick Liu told GamerZines:

There’s a voluntary install on the 360. I think Rage did it as well, where you can install content to stream higher res textures.We’re pushing that technology to the limit, and compared to our competitors, I would argue that we’re the best looking game.

Battlefield 3′s Xbox 360 version will ship on two disks due to the size limitations of the platform’s disks. The PlayStation 3 version, meanwhile, will ship on a single disk upon the game’s October 25th release.
