Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC Maps announced

DICE is sure on a roll when it comes to revealing new information regarding Battlefield 3. This week saw the reveal of the first gameplay trailer of the game and now they’ve revealed even more.

They’ve now revealed the names of the maps that the Back to Karkand DLC map pack will come with. This DLC pack will come with all limited edition pre-orders of the game, free of charge or it could be bought for a price one month after the game releases.

Without any further ado, here are the maps which the pack will contain, confirmed by a member of DICE themselves:

• Gulf of Oman
• Sharqi Peninsula
• Strike at Karkand
• Wake Island

We must say, that’s a fine choice of maps for the pack. Oman is perfect for jet based fights whereas Wake Island can also be used for them. Karkand as we all know, is excellent for infantry and ground-based fightsand so is Sharqi. We can’t wait to see the power of Frostbite 2 engine on display while we indulge in battles in these.

Battlefield 3 releases at the later half of 2011 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
