Battlefield 3 pre-orders near three million

Electronic Arts has revealed that DICE’s Battlefield 3 was close to three million pre-orders prior to its North American launch.

It was only a few weeks ago when the company said the pre-orders were over two million. The figure comes from an internal EA estimate from October 24th, consequently resulting in the game receiving over one million pre-orders last week alone.

Battlefield 3 releases in Europe on Friday.
