Beyond Good and Evil 2 canned?

Beyond Good And Evil 2 was first announced back in 2008. In January this year, Ubisoft cautioned that “whether or not it comes out remains to be seen“.  Now it looks like the game will never see the light of day. The news comes with a report out of France that  series creator Michael Ancel has left Ubisoft, possibly leading to the sequel’s outright cancellation. This has come as a disspointment for those who have been eagerly awaiting a sequel. Also Beyond Good and Evil’s ending teased a sequel and hence the announcement of the Sequel was inevitable.

Whether or not Ubisoft would carry on with the game without Ancel remains to be seen, as  no official announcement has been made regarding the matter. There is always a chance that the game might pass on to another development studio. Let’s keep our finger’s crossed.
