Bioware ponders on a MMO future for Mass Effect

Bioware doesn’t seem to be making right decisions nowadays, we saw that with Dragon Age 2 – a game that was nerfed in every possible way. Now, they ponder on a MMO future for Mass Effect.
They say, “We’ve been trying to think of a way that makes sense for people to experience Mass Effect with their friends”
“We haven’t yet come up with a way to do that, so we don’t have anything to announce at this time. But, obviously, multiplayer is something we want to do more of in the future as a company.”
It certainly doesn’t make sense to me. Bioware forgets that there are things like forums where people talk and discuss about the game. What is this need for multiplayer that devs are so obsessed with? There is no question of longevity here since Mass Effect is a RPG franchise and thus has its own audience or market. But the fact that Bioware feels to tinker with an established formula and possibly ruin it like Dragon Age 2, pisses me off.
Mass Effect 3 will release this year on PS3, 360 and PC.
