Blizzard lets slip the name of their next gen MMO

A purported release schedule for Blizzard was leaked from China last month. What did catch everybody’s eyes was an unknown title “Titan” which was listed for a Q4 2014 release. It’s no secret that Blizzard is working on a next gen MMO, and it’s evident that Titan refers to the same project. But now, we have an official confirmation.

In an interview with Destructoid, World of Warcraft executive producer Frank Pearce commented on the leak:

“Titan is… the media is not meant to know anything about that, It’s our next gen MMO and we’ve only started talking about it in a limited fashion because we want to leverage the fact that we’re working on something like that for the purpose of recruiting – getting some of the best talent in the industry on that project.”

However, Titan could just be a code name and not the actual name of the game itself.

The schedule also listed Diablo III for a Q4 2011 release and also two more World of Warcraft expansions. But this is yet to be confirmed. We all know that Blizzard would never finalize a release window until the project its nearing completion. So don’t get your hopes up too much.
