Inon Zur: EA pushed hard to release DA 2, my score was a “rush†job
Inon Zur, the music composer for Dragon Age 2 stated that he’s anxious about the game as he feels it was kind of rushed in order to be released as quickly as possible.
In an interview with IGN Australia, he stated that his work in the game was rushed and EA really wanted to cash in on Dragon Age’s success and hence pushed for the sequel’s release:
Zur: Sure thing. I’m actually really anxious for the game right now, so I can pop it in and start playing. I’m really looking forward to see it. I know there are a few bugs that still need to be fixed. Unlike other titles from Bioware, this [score] was kind of a rush job. EA really wanted to capitalize on the success of Origins, so the game was really being pushed hard to be released now. So I’d like to know if there are bugs, or if there’s anything we could patch or fix.
Judging by the user feedback and criticism that the game’s been subject to so far, we do feel the same.  We hope Bioware doesn’t end up at the receiving game for shipping out a unpolished game, especially considering their pedigree with releases like Mass Effect and KOTOR.
Dragon Age II is out now and you can expect our review very soon.
