Dead Space developer working on “a bold new franchise”

A new job posting  by Visceral Games, the minds behind the critically acclaimed Dead Space series, reveals that the developer is hard at work on a brand new IP.

The listing is for a lead multiplayer designer “to help create a thrilling online action shooter game”. “This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a bold new franchise which is a cornerstone for a new EA Games Studio,” the post added. The developer hasn’t had much time on the multiplayer field with the Dead Space 2′s multiplayer mode being its only online offering.Looks like they intend to change all that with the new franchise.

Visceral Games is also rumored to be working on the third installment of Dead Space and a sequel to Dante’s Inferno, though no official statement has been issued.
