DICE Pleased With PS3 Version of Battlefield 3; We’re Pushing The Hardware Big-Time

DICE has expressed their satisfaction regarding the development of Battlefield 3 on the PlayStation 3, as well as stating they’re pushing Sony’s platform “big-time”.
Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, DICE Producer Patrick Liu said:
Oh yeah. We’re very confident – we’re pushing the hardware big-time. Of course, we have a performance budget that we have to hit. Everything counts into that: the scale costs performance, destruction, animation, special effects…those are all the things we cram in there. I feel really good about where we ended up with on the PS3.
Much has been made on the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 – it hasn’t been negative in any form, though; the in-game footage on the console showcased has been showered with praise due to its solid frame-rate and overall deliverance on the title’s gameplay.
Battlefield 3 launches on the 25th of this month in state-side and 28th in Europe.
