E3 2011: Wii U Uncut Tech Demo looks amazing
An uncut video of the Wii U tech demo has surfaced on Youtube.
The demo is the same as what was seen in the Nintendo conference, and follows a bird flying around some pretty looking scenery as it develops through the different seasons. The weather effects look particularly impressive, and the birds movement through the air looks very natural and realistic.
The demo is interactive, with the player having to press B at certain points to trigger events such as the bird picking up a flower. There is no fixed view to the demo, meaning the pad can also be used to move the controller and get a wider view of the surrounding environment.
It looks as though the Wii U has some serious graphical clout, but we should take account of the fact initial tech demosĀ often promise a lot more than the console can deliver in a game, at least at first.
