E3 Nukes – 5 games that Sony might announce at their Conference
Sony like every year is gearing up to wow their supporters and fans worldwide by showcasing their latest products at their conference in the upcoming E3 event. Already on a high by announcing so many triple A exclusives like Killzone 3 and inFamous 2, things are already looking very exciting for Sony this E3.
However, E3 is all about surprises and even though Sony’s line-up of games can’t look any better right now (Killzone 3, GT 5 , inFamous 2 , LBP 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse and more) they must be planning some rather exciting surprises for the fans. Gamersmint makes a list of games that we would like to see Sony announce at the LA Convention Center in less than two days time. However, this is not a mere wishlist, most of these titles have a rather high chance of being announced as there is evidence of them being in development.
New Sly Cooper Game -
Sly cooper was a great franchise for the PS2, it was popular, well rated and highly enjoyable. Made by Sucker Punch studios who are currently working on inFAMOUS 2 and having delivered the masterful inFAMOUS in 2009, we feel like Sly will return again to the PS3 in the future and we have our reasons for wanting that to happen. It was a brilliant third person action adventure game depicting the story of a young raccoon named well… Sly Cooper and his friends who were all skilled thieves, We really enjoyed this game on the Playstation 2 and we have fond memories of playing it. What could be better than seeing Sly and his gang make a comabck in glorious HD on the Playstation 3? Playstation 3 owners deserve this atleast.
Why we believe it will end up on the Playstation 3 is because of an easter egg in inFAMOUS where a subtle hint was given that a Sly cooper 4 game was on the cards , now we are really not sure about this yet because Sucker Punch is working on inFAMOUS 2 which will be released on 2011. But we think PS3 owners deserve to witness the game in glorious HD on the Playstation 3 so keep a lookout for it during E3 conference and keep your fingers crossed!
Syphon Filter 4 –
This is one game we would like to play on the Playstation 3. Playing as Logan and doing all kind of covert and full-blown assault missions for a top secret agency backed by some of the coolest allies reeks of awesomeness. It’s great gameplay, adrenaline pumping action and all those cool gadgets and weapons deserves some HD loving. Interestingly Sony Bend’s last Syphon Filter game had a Playstation 2 release as recently as June this year. We would be thrilled to see them announce a Playstation 3 follow up this E3.
Starhawk -
Before talking about Starhawk,  let’s take a look why Warhawk was one of the most special games on the Playstation 3 – it came at a time when the Playstation 3 install base was low, but it had one of the most innovative and satisfying online gameplay ever.  Released on august 2007, it had aircrafts, tanks, jeeps, upto 32 player battles, 4 player split screen but we felt it should have had a single player campaign as well. Sadly the game wasn’t that successful due to the lack of players and an underdeveloped PSN but fast forward to 2010 and we are pretty much sure of a sequel to Warhawk. Rumored to be known as “Starhawk” – which is in development if various sources are to be believed. Rumors of Starhawk first surfaced when Sony registered the domain called ” starhawk ” and Dylan Jobe the director of Warhawk confirmed that he  is making a new game for Sony and we guess Starhawk is that game.
Now we don’t have any idea about this game but seems like it will be set in space. How cool is that?  Warhawk had dedicated servers and a smooth online gameplay experience so we don’t have any doubts over the performance of Starhawk on that front but a BETA will do us a world of good and we hope they hold one. PS3 owners should be on the lookout for the successor to Warhawk this E3 and trust me with the current install base and an highly improved PSN, this game is gonna own faces.
