EA to publish Portal 2′s retail version
EA Â Partners, a division of EA that publishes third-party titles, will be publishing the retail version of Portal 2, the upcoming puzzler from Valve.
They will be publishing all three version of the game and it’ll be releasing on April 2011.
“Portal 2 is Valve’s most innovative title in the company’s history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April,” said Valve marketing boss Doug Lombardi.
“We’re excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms.”
The first game didn’t see a standalone retail release and was shipped as part of the hugely popular Orange Box which also came with Team Fortress 2 and Half Life 2 and its episodes.
Portal 2 will be getting co-op and apart from the return of the awesome gameplay that the first game offered us with, it’ll be packing new and exciting features.
Valve will be obviously publishing and distributing the Digital version of the game over at Steam.
