Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will not receive a demo

If you were one of those gamers who is yet to play an Elder Scrolls game and was hoping to get a taste of the marvel that will be Skyrim before its release, you just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Bethesda ‘s confirmed that they won’t be releasing a demo for the game. The game is absolutely enormous in size and scale, and to offer only a piece of the cake would be impossible.
“No, we won’t be doing a demo,” said producer Craig Lafferty in an interview with Gameplanet.
“For a game of this size and complexity it’s really hard to do a demo that represents the game truly. And it would have to be a gigantic demo. So we won’t be doing a demo.”
There is no doubt that the game is going to blow the industry away upon its release, which completely defeats the purpose of a demo. None of the previous Elder Scrolls titles received the demo treatment, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Do yourself and the world a favor and place those preorders already if you haven’t.
The Elders Scroll 5: Skyrim will be releasing on November 11 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
