Epic Games hacked, personal data compromised

Add one more gaming company to the hacked list. Epic Games has become the most recent target of hack attacks.
As was the case in the Codemasters incident, Epic Games’ website contained personal date on its users, including usernames, e-mail addresses, and encrypted passwords, which Epic Games founder Tim Sweeney says are at-risk and “could be obtained by a brute-force attack.” The passwords of all the users have been forcibly reset and the company has sent out an e-mail informing all of its users.
The website does not store credit card or payment information.
After some delay, the website has now returned to its normal functioning.
