First Battlefield 3 trailer to release today, first image revealed

Game Informer has unveiled its March cover and it looks like BF fans wont have to wait too long to finally get some details on the game.

If you still can’t hold on, EA has announced that the first trailer will be going live tomorrow on Game Informer’s site and the official Battlefield 3 site.

Battlefield 3 will be the true sequel to 2005′s Battlefield 2.  The game is built on the Frostbite 2 engine and DICE is doing everything they can to make it “the best Battlefield game ever”. The game is slated for a 2012 release and the beta is expected to arrive before October this year.

DICE has promised to give “special attention” to the PC version of the game. They recently canned the PC version of Battlefield 1943 and the Onslaught Mode for BF:BC 2 in order to utilize their resources for making this game.

The game will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and would be DICE’s first true sequel in years.
