Gamersmint Review : Prince of Persia : Forgotten Sands
Closing Comments
In conclusion, although Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands manages to latch on to some roots of the excellent trilogy and avoid the path the previous iteration takes, it feels a bit rushed and lacks polish, making it average at best. Had the latter parts of the game been given proper attention, it would have emerged from the depths of mediocrity and established a name for itself along with Ubisoft’s other fantastic ongoing franchise. The cheapness of the final level particularly is perhaps reason enough to not get too excited about this forgettable game.
What Clicked:
- Feels fun most of the time.
- Platforming is challenging enough to be reminiscent of the old trilogy.
What Bombed
- The final level platforming is extremely frustrating.
- Lacks the end product polish.
- Fighting doesn’t feel fluid and boss battles are severely lacking.
- Uninteresting story and characters fail to provide an overall personality to the game.
