Gamersmint Review: Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition
Closing Comments
It won’t take a genius to figure out that if you are yet to get Resident Evil 5 than the Gold Edition has come as a blessing in disguise for you, enabling you to enjoy the original game plus all the bonus content that released for it. By all mean go ahead and buy it, as this is THE one to get. But if you already own RE5 than you are better off downloading the two new episodes directly from either PSN or XBLA for a much cheaper price as both of these episodes are fun to play but do not justify paying the full retail price to experience. The other two pieces of new content offered with the Gold Edition do not score anything even remotely close to something which might merit a full retail purchase.
What Clicked
- Lost in Nightmares is fresh and entertaining
- A multiplayer mode might please a few fans
- Good CO-OP opportunities
- Is the best package for someone who is yet to play RE5
What Bombed
- Lacks innovation or freshness
- “Versus Mode” sucked for me personally
- Merc Reunion…yea right!
