We are as surprised as you may be at this recent development. On June 2nd we noticed a suspicious looking comment to one of our articles where we speculated that Valve’s surprise at E3 could be the long awaited Half Life Episode 3. Here is the comment:
Hmmm. Interesting. It does say Gabe Newell, but that could be just about anyone. Also considering what the comment itself says, we just dismissed it as spam. However, through some chance of fate, we accidentally came across this while cleaning up our comments…and that basically blew our minds…This was the real deal…this was Gabe Newell!
We’ve heard stories of Gabe popping up in unexpected places, but what came next was truly the icing on the cake. We sent an email to Gabe’s email address, asking if it really was him…and we got a reply. The email from Gabe contained no text, no confirmation…nothing at all. But it did contain this…
There you have it, from the horse’s mouth itself. Freeman returns on June 14th…and Gabe’s got an awesome sense of humor.
P.S: We’ve noticed that the image provided above as already hit the interwebs; solidifying our suspicion that this could indeed be the real deal. Also notice that you can just about make a face in the background of the picture.
