ICO and SOTC release date announced, new trailer

Sony’s announced the Japanese release date for HD remakes of PS2 classics ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, as well as releasing a new trailer for the same.

Both the games will cost you ¥3,890 and will be releasing on September 22.

Dismissing earlier rumours that both the game will be bundled in a single blu-ray disc, Sony announced that both of them will be sold separately. However, this is only for Japan. No word on how they’ll be shipped in the west yet.

The revamped versions of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus will feature HD graphics, 7.1 surround sound, trophies, and support for stereoscopic 3D.

The two games will also be sold in Japan as a limited edition bundle containing a code to download themes for the PlayStation 3, along with a 100 page book, for ¥6,980.

The official Japanese websites for both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus have been updated.
