Incoming: PS3 System Software Update 3.66

The US PlayStation blog has just announced that a new PlayStation system update is on the horizon.

The update, v3.66, promises to improve “system stability” and “network services”. An exact date of when it’ll be available for download hasn’t been given but it will be “released soon”.

Sony said: “A new PS3 system software update, v3.66, will be released soon. With this minor update, system stability during use of PS3 format software and network services has been improved.”

The update may or may not be optional as it hasn’t been disclosed, but we just want the update to deliver these things as Sony have promised. After the recent fiasco, nobody wants another blunder right now.
