Itagaki’s latest Project revealed: Devil’s Third

The legendary developer’s latest project has just been revealed via GTTV’s Pre-E3 special. Devil’s Third will be published by THQ. With only one fleeting glimpse of gameplay, details are scarce at the moment.

The gameplay looks like a mix of Ninja Gaiden’s combat and Third Person Shooting mechanics. The trailer reveals lots of close range melee combat with various types of melee weapons. The combat is gory and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Ranged weapons shown include shotguns, assault rifles, miniguns and rocket launchers. The trailer also reveals a grappling hook which can be used to scale buildings. Overall, the game can be classified as a Hack n Slash game with Third person shooting mechanics similar to Lost Planet thrown into the mix.

The developer has an undeniable pedigree and we are aching to learn more about the game. The game will be showcased at E3 and we will keep you updated with more information as soon as it surfaces.
