Multiplayer confirmed for Mass Effect 3

The latest issue of independent gaming magazine Xbox World 360 seems to have the first details regarding multiplayer in Mass Effect 3. One glimpse at the cover and you’ll find the words “Mass Effect 3 – new levels and Multiplayer!” visible.

Although this didn’t confirm that there is going to be a dedicated multiplayer component in Mass Effect 3, a tweet from Mass Effect 3 story writer Alex Donaldson pretty much did.

He confirmed that Multiplayer would be shown for the first time at Gamescom and it’ll infact be playable in two trade shows in the UK in September:

If all of this is true, then expect a bomb to drop during Gamescom as Bioware reveals the first details regarding multiplayer in Mass Effect 3. We’ll send EA an email and see if they are willing to offer a comment.
