Mystery Ball Hits App Store with iCloud Support

Mystery Ball, the new adventure/strategy game we told you about last month, launched in the app store today. It’s going for $0.99 for launch weekend, and will return to its normal price of $2.99 after Sunday.
In Mystery Ball, you control FRED, a lost, scared ball who has been dropped into a professor’s experimental world in order to conquer his fears. FRED suffers from aphephobia (fear of being touched), acrophobia (fear of heights) and chronophobia (fear of time), and he collects bravery badges to overcome each fear. FRED also collects doodads, tools you can place in each level so FRED can jump, trap enemies and control the environment.
There are 30 levels set in grassy plains, windy deserts and the Professor’s rusty labs. Each level can be solved in many different ways depending on doodad placement, weather, and flip switches that FRED has to roll over to activate. Here’s a rundown of the title’s main features:
- Levels have a puzzle-like feel with tons of solutions
- Level-up powers like flight and time manipulation
- Tools to help you trap enemies, speed through levels, and alter the environment
- Compatible to Appleās iCloud, allowing players to sync a game between devices
- Game Center achievements
- Time Trial mode
Mystery Ball will ship with iCloud support and GameCenter achievements and leaderboards in the time trial mode.
