Namco: Tekken X Street Fighter development hasn’t “really started”

Katsuhiro Harada, who formed a key role at establishing the Tekken franchise, hasn;t really started development of Tekken X Street Fighter.

Not to be confused with Street Fighter X Tekken which runs on the Street Fighter IV engine, Tekken X Street Fighter will be a 3D fighter which utilizes the Tekken engine.  Harada mentioned that their primary focus as of now is the former, which is being developed by Capcom in collaboration with Namco.

“We really haven’t started on Tekken X Street Fighter,” Harada stated at Namco Bandai’s Level Up event in Dubai.

“Things are going well with Street Fighter X Tekken and we’ll have more on that at E3. We hope you look forward to that.”

While details and footage of Street Fighter X Tekken have been shown off, it’s counterpart has been lurking in the shadows and guess we just found out why.
