Naughty Dog: Beware of Major Uncharted 3 Spoilers on the Web

Although Uncharted 3 is nearing its release date, there’s still some time left before gamers can lay their hands on the game. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case for everyone, and no, we aren’t talking about the reviewers. Even some random people has managed to get their hands on Uncharted 3, after some retailers went rogue and broke the street release date for the title.

What this means this that you can expect plenty of spoilers to be appearing on the internet, potentially capable of ruining the entire experience for those who’re yet to play the game.

Naughty Dog seems to be aware of this threat and Josh Scherr, Animation lead at Naughty Dog has come up and posted a warning for fans to watch out for these spoilers, and confirming that retail copies of the game has indeed been leaked. He also informed how people in possession of those copies are posting spoilers and pictures on the internet via a tweet:

#Uncharted fans – people with early copies of U3 are posting pics and vids with MAJOR spoilers on YouTube and various forums. Beware!

That’s a pretty clear message. However he went on and assured that having a media blackout would be worth it and how Naughty Dog themselves edited portions of their launch trailer in order to ensure some shots which contained potential story spoilers remained hidden. He revealed this via a response to another twitter fan.

@emilyterrible you’ll be happy you did. We even changed things in our trailer shots to hide spoilers. Only 10 days to go, you can do it!

Uncharted 3 releases on November 1 in the US, and November 2 in the UK. We would advise everyone to tread with caution until the game releases.
