Shift is definitely a great title, provided you have enough patience to withstand the sometimes gruelling car handling and racing mechanics. Once tamed, the definitive in-car experience, thrilling races, great graphics and superior sound effects make up for a great package that can be fully enjoyed while it lasts. Whether anyone will replay the game after concluding their careers in it is a matter of personal choice since it is hard to replay the same races over and over after completing them numerous times in career mode. Overall, Shift will definitely manage to strike a chord of joy and relief amongst NFS fans who were thinking that the series has ‘tuned’ out of fashion, and may please the occasional racer as well to ensure an elevated fan base that will eagerly anticipate the release of the next NFS title.
