NGP could be delayed due to Japan Quake

In an interview with Reuters, SCEA President Jack Tretton explained that Sony might push back the NGP’s release to 2012, due to the consequences of the Japan Quake.

He added that Sony may only be able to release the handheld in one region by the end of this year, thanks to production difficulties.

“It may be the straw that says ‘maybe we get to just one market by the end of the year,’”

On the bright side, developers get more time to polish their products for launch.
