Nintendo holding 3DS events in Amsterdam and New York on Jan 19

Nintendo has sent out invites to European and American press for an exclusive 3DS preview which is scheduled to take place on January 19th.

The events will be held in Amsterdam and New York. Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo America will be present at the US event. A official line up is yet to be revealed but you can expect the games which will be showcased at Nintendo World 2011.

The 3DS is set for a February 26th release date in Japan. Hopefully, the events will disclose a concrete release date for western shores. The 3DS will release sometime in March in the west.

Meanwhile, some dude managed to steal a 3DS from a Chinese assembly line up and took stupidity to a whole new level by openly admitting it and posting images of it on the net. Genius!
