No BlizzCon this year says Blizzard

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that their immensely successful annual convention will not be making a return this year. The developer simply has a lot on their hands this year and organizing and planning out BlizzCon is bound to throw their schedule off track.The following post was made on Blizzard’s site:

“We’re also heavily focused on getting Diablo III, Mists of Pandaria, and Heart of the Swarm into players’ hands as soon as possible. In light of our jam-packed schedule, we’ve decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.”

We’re sure fans will be upset but would you rather wait one more year to finally get your hands on Diablo III? We certainly can’t. All three titles are mentioned are slated for release this year, with Diablo III most likely to pave the way for the rest early this year.

Also, all of Blizzard’s recent projects have debuted at Blizzcon, so it’s safe to assume that we won’t be seeing any game announcement from the developer this year. We’re sure fans will forget about the lack of BlizzCon as soon as Diablo III and Heart of the Swarm hits store shelves.
