No UK or US launch for PS Vita in 2011

If you were waiting to get your hands on the PS Vita this year and aren’t a resident to Japan, you will have to wait a little longer.

Kaz Hirai – Chairman Sony Computer Entertainment confirmed that the handheld won’t be launching in Europe or the US until early 2012 atleast.  He however assured that the portable will be releasing in Japan by the end of 2011.

Expect a flood of new details regarding the PS Vita and its line-up of software during Sony’s presser at Gamescom this year. Even more details will be revealed during their Tokyo Game Show keynote.

Both the shows would also have booths setup for hands-on time with the console.
