NPD data for PS3 units sold in February revealed

Although, Sony didn’t reveal the NPD data for no of PS3s sold in the month of February, 2011, it’s now known how many units they moved during that period.

Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter said in a research note today that Sony sold 403,000 PlayStation 3 units last month.

With those numbers, the PS3 is currently ranked third, behind Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. The Xbox 360 sold the most number of units during Feb, with 535,000 units moved while the Wii came second, with a total of 454,000 Wii consoles sold.

Here’s the list:

• Xbox 360 - 535,000 (+27%) [Top Console, 360's Best Non-Holiday Month Ever]
• Wii - 454,000 (+14%)
• PS3 - 403,000 (+12%)

One positive is that, all three consoles gained in terms of sales in the month of February.
