Official FIFA 12 Info Released
Last week a leaked FIFA 12 video surfaced highlighting the new “impact engine”. Today EA Sports revealed official information about the next installation of it’s famed footballing series, giving more details about the new engine.
“The Player Impact Engine processes decisions continuously in real-time at every point of contact on a player’s body to create an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in every collision,” said EA.
EA also claim this title will be “a revolutionary not evolutionary” step forwards for the series, but I’m fairly certain they say this every single year so I would take that claim with a pinch of salt.
As well as overhauling the collision engine, the game will make the usual rudimentary tweaks and improvements to the basic gameplay.
“All-new Precision Dribbling delivers a higher fidelity of touch on the ball for attacking players, while Tactical Defending fundamentally changes the approach to defending by placing equal importance on positioning, intercepting passes and tackling” reads the fact sheet.
The new engine will only be used for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of the game, with other versions missing out on the upgrade.
