Portal 2 gets release date, ships as full retail game.
Earlier today, Portal 2 got officially announced and news came that it will be available for the PC and Xbox360. Now, Gamestop has a pre-order listing of the game for both the versions. From the listing we can confirm that this will be a standalone release and will ship at full-retail price. The PC version will cost 49.99$ while the Xbox360 version will set you back by 59.99$. Interestingly, Gamestop also has a shipment date of the pre-order. The site says pre-orders will ship on 26.10.2010(26th October) which means Portal 2 will release on the same day as Gamestop ships its pre-orders on the day of its release or one day before.
Information regarding the game was revealed earlier in the day and the game is said to feature a new co-op mode along with various new and innovative SP features with GLaDos making a comeback and some new characters getting introduced.
