Portal 2 to feature 13000 lines of recorded dialogue
Like it or not, Portal is going to have around 13000 lines of dialogue although it features a mute protagonist.
Though, Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle game but users need some interactivity with the game and some story-background which is accomplished through various characters of the game. In Portal 1, there was GLaDOS to guide (read=misguide) you. Portal 2 will be sporting a number of non-playable characters which can be accounted for so much talking in the game. Also, co-op mode of the game will be having its own set of dialogues.
Well, we’ll leave you right here with one of the 13,000 dialogues of the game..
As GLaDOS puts it, “In layman’s terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.”
The game releases sometime in April for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be sold as a standalone retail release this time around.
The game’s retail units are being published by EA and the PS3 version of the game will come with steamworks support.
Rumours have been ripe that the game might be supporting cross-platform co-op play between the PS3 and PC versions.
