Portal-esque ‘Paradox Shift’ trailer

Whilst the element of Portal ideas, including the gun, are rather evident in the trailer, Paradox Shift is a game that seems to allow us to mess around with time, rather than space.

A trailer emerged a few days ago from a team of students who attends the University of Southern Carolina. The video shows a certain amount of storyline, with it’s own level of deceit and surprise, as well as an interesting mechanic of shifting through two different times.

Whilst it looks impressive, the actual gameplay isn’t completely explained, some puzzles looking rather confusing and complex. The graphics are also rather sub-par at some points through the trailer, so it’s safe to assume this may be an indie/download release through console stores. Either way, it looks interesting, as long as it doesn’t try to BE Portal.
