Proof: Super Mario Dies On The Cover Of His First Home Console Game

It appears one has to die to get famous, atleast if you’re Mario. As a reader has pointed out to us that the legendary videogame character can be seen jumping to his death on the cover of his very first home console videogame.

Here’s what he wrote

I think it was suicide, just after he found toad instead of the Princess for the 5th time. A real Mario would have made that jump.

He might be right but we’ll never know for sure. Also, interestingly the sprite on the cover picture is different from the one which can be seen in the actual game.
