PS3 “Trophy Unlocker:” brings the death of Trophies?

The PS3′s been hacked completely thanks to the likes of GeoHot and failoverflow and things seems to be getting worse.

According to a post at NeoGaf, hackers have developed a homebrew app for the console known as “Trophy unlocker” which allows you to get 100% completion in any game, i.e platinum it and sync the date to Sony’s servers (after the removal of CFW), getting you all the trophies without needing the slightest amount of effort from your end.

If this proves true, it’ll really hurt Sony since the temptation to get everything for free might be too hard to resist for many.

Can Sony detect such illdoers? Can they ban their consoles? Prevent them from connecting to PSN? Only time will tell

Things doesn’t look to be good for them right now.
