PSN Download Size For Battlefield 3 Revealed

After the insane pricing saga for Battlefield 3′s PlayStation Network version, the download size has been revealed for DICE’s shooter, and it’s massive.

When a fan asked Rendering Architect at DICE, John Andersson, if the download was 10GB+ in terms of its download size, he confirmed:

yeah I think it is 13 GB

Additionally, when asked about the PlayStation 3 control issues Andersson said:

we are still investigating it. MLAA was used in the Beta as well

That’s not all, though; Andersson also responded with the following when asked about how they work with Nvidia and AMD on drivers:

we talk _a lot_ with Nvidia and AMD, have a direct line between Frostbite and Nvidia/AMD

Battlefield 3′s PlayStation Network download size is, in one word, baffling. As gamers rightly pointed out recently, why would players want to purchase the PlayStation Network version if it’s considerably cheaper on online retailers, as well as high-street retailers. Asda, for one, are offering the game for just £33.99.

Battlefield 3 launches today in European territories while it was released in the United States on Tuesday.
