PSP receives a price drop in India

Sony India has sent word that the price of the PSP-3000 in the Indian market has been slashed to Rs 7990 from Rs 9490. That’s not all, Sony is also throwing in a free game with every purchase of the handheld.
Accompanying the price drop is the launch of three brand new games in India, namely: Cart Kings, Chandragupta Warriors and Battle Royal. Retail prices of UMD titles range from Rs 599 to Rs 1799.
Atindriya Bose, head of SCEI, commented on the matter:
“PSP continues to offer a total entertainment package at unbeatable prices. The console’s new retail price point of INR 7990 and an attractive free game of Street Cricket Champions will make it an attractive buy this summer holidays for the Indian teenagers. ”
The price cut has already come into effect, so rush to your nearest retailer if you don’t already own a PSP . However, he price tag of the PSP Go will remain untouched.
