Report: Custom Firmware bricking 60 PS3 consoles
Well, hacking isn’t so cool after all, is it?
A new custom firmware known as Custom Firmware v3.55 was released a while ago, however this has resulted in a world of woes for everyone foolish enough to install in on their old and trusty 60 GB PS3 models.
Yes, reports have been flying in from various forums that users who installed it on their 60 GB models PS3 had only managed to do one thing and i.e get their console bricked.
We are not sure at this point as to why this has happened but it’s likely due to faulty firmware rather than the device’s security. Whatever it is, this should teach hackers a lesson for good and I can’t help but laugh at the guys who got their consoles bricked.
And yes, I would warn legit guys to be cautious before deciding to jump ito the other side as there are a few reports that even newer models are getting bricked.
Stay clean and stay safe people, as simple as that.
