Rockstar Officially Announces GTA V

Following the release of Grand Theft Auto V’s debut trailer, developer Rockstar Games has officially announced the next installment in the iconic franchise.

Series creator Rockstar North – who are based in Edinburgh – are developing Grand Theft Auto V.

The title’s location has been confirmed to be the city of Los Santos as well as “surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created.”

The company also said it’s taking a:

bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California.

GTA V is rumored for a November 23rd launch.
