Rumor: Mirror’s Edge 2 put on hold

The V!chachu is reporting that Mirror’s Edge 2 has been “stalled”, as the core team at DICE has moved on. The site even mentions that a demo of the game was shown-off internally.

Though the original game received good critical reception, it bombed commercially. But even EA CEO John Riccitiello went on to say that Mirror’s Edge deserves a sequel and a small team had already started work on the project back in 2009.

EA refused to comment on the story.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as DICE’s prime concern now is Battlefield 3 and as a result, we saw Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 2 Onslaught for PC vanish into thin air. However, this is only a rumor and even if stalled, the project is very much alive, so don’t lose hope just yet.
